Have your say on proposals for Exeter Canalside

Today sees the launch of Exeter City Living’s engagement programme for a mixed development of new sustainable homes and improved facilities at Exe Watersports Association on Exeter Canalside.

Stephen Forsey, Development Director, Exeter City Living said: “Our vision is to deliver a high-quality development at this key waterside location. Through working with Exe Water Sports Association we will provide new improved community water sports facilities on the ground floor and 37 new homes on the upper floors.“

The development will deliver on Exeter City Living’s ambitions to build new homes to the Passivhaus standard or net zero carbon, low energy, healthy and climate resilient.

The new development will seek to enhance this important part of the quayside by providing much needed new homes and larger and improved watersports facilities that will also be available to the wider public.

From Friday 13 January, the proposals are available to view online at https://exetercanalside.commonplace.is/

Residents, community groups and stakeholders will be able to comment on the proposals for the site during the public engagement period, which lasts until 27 January.

Exeter City Living (ECL) and their project team will be hosting a staffed public exhibition in the clubhouse at Exe Watersports Association, 62 Haven Rd, Exeter EX2 8DP on Thursday 19 January 2023 between 4pm and 7pm. Members of the public can drop-in to the exhibition to view the proposals and speak to Exeter City Living and their project team.

Stephen said: “We want to hear from local residents and groups, so please come to our event or have a look at the proposals online and let us know what you think.”
